1. Go to the Movies
Compared to 2023, 2024 turns out to be a promising movie year for the movie lovers among us! Some of the movies I’m excited about this Spring in particular are Kung Fu Panda 4 and Cabrini.
But there are way more interesting releases on the list, and I definitely plan to see some of them in the theatre. Ask your friends and loves ones out on a movie date to start Spring up to date!
2. Plant Some Seeds
Whether it be some flower seeds to help support the insects and the ecosystem, like planting a vegetable garden, or propagating some plant cuttings, gardening can feel incredibly gratifying, and becomes especially rewarding after you see them sprout!
If you want to take it a step further, you could even go for these postcards that have seeds in them. You can double up the fun by sending someone dear to you an inspiring message for Spring while supporting green life on the globe.
They can plant the postcard in their yard to watch them sprout as the season progresses.
3. Go for a Picnic
Even though Spring can still be quite windy, there will always be days where warmer temperatures are guaranteed, and the sun is determined to show up all day. And honestly, that’s half of the preparation when hosting a successful picnic!
Make a fruit bowl of some seasonal fruits, such as cherries, pineapple, apricots, and strawberries. Bring some card games and have fun relaxing in nature.
4. Do a Spring Cleaning
If there’s any time of the year when I get excessive amounts of motivation to start with a clean, fresh house it’s definitely Spring. I’m pretty sure many of you can relate!
As soon as the lovely weather is coming closer and closer, I get massive amounts of energy to freshen up my home. Take on some extra chores now and reap the benefits of a fresh space the entire season!
5. Arrange a High Tea
High teas! They are perfect for treating yourself and your friends to a self-care moment. You can make it as indulging or nurturing as you want (and, ideally, a bit of both!).
If you don’t feel the need to prepare an entire high tea you can ask every person attending to bring something they enjoy.
And if you would rather want to be pampered, worry not! Many cafes host high teas which have never failed to satisfy me. Just be sure to reserve yourself a spot in advance.
6. Start a DIY Project
If you’re anything like me, you have gathered many DIY projects over the years, but rarely actually start them. This year I would love to pick up some easy (and very importantly: useful!) DIY-projects for myself.
Browse through the web and find yourself a fun and easy DIY project. The project I would like to pick up this Spring is to learn how to make my own plant hangers!
7. Feed the Ducks
Feeding the ducks: one of my absolute favorite activities when I was a little kiddo. It won’t get more Spring-y than feeding the ducks on a sunny day. Hopefully, you’ve come at the right time to see some feathery babies.
So grab some slices of bread, head to the nearest pond, and start making some friends!
8. Make Banana Bread
Tried and true: Banana bread rocks! It’s incredibly nutritious, full of fiber, and a great way to make use of over-ripe bananas. And it doesn’t have to be unhealthy at all!
I usually make mine with almond or buckwheat flour, but you can also use specifically designed gluten-free flour. And the best step: spread some almond butter on your slice for extra moistness (uhm, that’s a strange word….). Need I say more!?
9. Go Cloud Spotting
A fun way to mindfully engage with nature is to go cloud spotting! Just take out a blanket, find a nice spot to hang out, and just look up at the sky!
I had a professor once who eagerly shared his cloud spotting passion and was a proud member of the Cloud Spotting community. He used an app called CloudSpotter, in case you’d like to try it for yourself! Get in on the fun and share your finds on the app!
10. Have a Pamper Day
Self-care is important, and taking care of your body can be a great way to engage in self-love. Amp up the rewarding vibes by having a full-on pamper day! Get your nails done, give yourself a hair mask or go to the hair salon, remove all spots and hair that “shouldn’t” be there, put on some Spa-music, burn some Lavender Essential Oil.
There are so many ways to spend your pamper day. Have fun and prepare your physical body for Spring with care.

11. Plan a Boat Ride
Going on a boat trip is a fun way to get some fresh Spring air into your system! Gather up some friends or family and go for it. Soak up the sun and lay a foundation for your tan while bathing.
12. Visit a Flea Market
Exploring your local flea markets can be a super exciting way to score some unique finds, from vintage decor to one–of-a-kind clothing pieces. It’s also a great way to support your local vendors. Stroll through the market in your most magical outfit, and add a touch of uniqueness to your Spring season!
13. Order Some Ice Cream
Ice cream shops usually aren’t open all year round, which makes getting your first ice cream of the year extra special! The flavors you can buy from the store freezers just aren’t the same as homemade ice cream. My go-to’s are Pistachio, Cookies & Cream and White Chocolate.
14. Meditate in the Sun
I love doing this more often when the sun peaks around the corner! It might feel weird at first to close your eyes in public, but as soon as you are used to the feeling and the sunlight touches your face, meditating in the sun can feel incredibly peaceful.
After a couple of minutes, you’ll feel more comfortable. If you’ve never done this already, try it out and let me know how it went!
15. Make Fresh Lemonade
Have you ever tried making homemade lemonade? It’s incredibly easy and you don’t need a lot of ingredients. And if you’re feeling particularly zesty, you can try making some original flavors, like pink lemonade or strawberry lemonade. It looks hella cute!
16. Declutter the House
No better season to clear out your old stuff than Spring. As the days get longer, you will have some more energy to clear out old junk and make space for the new. Decluttering not only creates a more organized and peaceful home environment but also allows for a fresh start mentally.
So make a list of all the rooms, closets, and drawers you want to declutter and get cracking!
17. Make a Spring Bouquet
As nature is bursting with life again. why not bring some of the Spring Blooming inside your house? Add a touch of natural coziness to your home by selecting the finest flowers and plants for your bouquet. It’s a great way to romanticize your life this Spring.
18. Make a Watercolor Painting
To me, Spring and pastel colors go together like Sherlock and Watson. Get creative and make some dreamy backgrounds or interesting flower drawings to bring the Spring theme to your walls!
It doesn’t matter if you are creative or not. Painting can be a great way to live in the present moment. But if the end result turns out to be great, don’t hesitate to display it on your walls!
19. Light a Spring Candle
Lighting a candle is one of my go-to’s when I want to create a certain “feeling” for myself. Whether it’s oceanic blue of fresh cotton when I’ve done a massive clean, or cinnamon pinecone when the colder winter months show up. I. Light. A. Candle. For Spring, my favorite scent is lemon or citrus.
20. Make a Spring Music list
Crafting a Spring-inspired music list sets the perfect tone for embracing the season’s energy and mood. For me personally, music is the ultimate way to get myself hyped for something. Create a playlist with all kinds of uplifting tunes that remind you of the feeling of Spring.
Whenever you need to get ready to leave the house or go for a refreshing walk in nature, blast your playlist and fill your cup with joy and optimism!
21. Read a Book for Spring
Take a look at your reading wishlist and choose one that would suit your vibe for the upcoming months. Go to your favorite outdoor cafe and get reading! Some recommendations for the Spring season are “If women rose rooted” by Sharon Blackie and “As long as the lemon trees grow” by Zoulfa Katouh.
22. Set Intentions for Spring
Spring is a time when the year has just started. That means it’s the perfect moment to set intentions for the season ahead and take some additional steps to create the life you want to live. Reflect on your desires and aspirations, and align your energy by setting some intentions for spring.
Thoughtfully carving out a path for yourself can be incredibly uplifting and might just be what you need to guide yourself toward fulfillment.
23. Spring Decor Shopping
Scoring some new spring-themed home decor items brings freshness and vitality into your home. Whether it’s a vibrant throw pillow or a delicate floral centerpiece, spring decor shopping allows us to be surrounded by the spirit of the season and welcome its liveliness into our homes!
24. Take Photos of Nature
Taking some interesting photos of the blooming wonders of life is a great way to connect yourself more to nature. Then, it is not just about photography; it becomes an actual mindful practice. Enjoy the present moment of Spring unfolding in front of your eyes.
25. Try a Fresh Smoothie
Always a good idea to start Spring on a healthy note. Try some new and interesting smoothie blends that you haven’t tried yet! Strawberries, Pineapples, Kiwis, Mangoes, and Cherries are typical fruits for Spring that are perfect to add to your smoothies. More Spring Smoothie inspiration can be found here.
26. Create a Vision Board
Spring is the perfect time to create a vision board. As nature blooms, it inspires us to cultivate new beginnings and set intentions. Filling up your board with inspiring images and goals can add some extra liveliness to your experience. By crafting a vision board, you can be reminded of what you want to feel, giving you clarity and focus. I use Canva to create my vision boards.
